ESSAY TEXT 

Critical review.

The pantomime that I am going to review is Dick Whittington and his cat by Mark Clements. The production was held at Derby playhouse and ran from 26/11/02 to 18/01/03.

From a child's point of view, I would say that the performance was fairly successful as the children seemed to enjoy it and participated enthusiastically throughout. However, pantomime today, is as much entertainment for adults as it is children and from an adult's point of view, I don't believe that the production was quite as successful as it could have been. ... Continuing with another 115 out of 1782 Size (words) ...adults did seem to enjoy parts of the production but I think that the participation came mainly from the children.

I think that the front of house were very welcoming and polite. They were helpful with queries and always at hand. There were facilities for the disabled and the bar area was very nice. I felt safe and comfortable whilst I watched the pantomime, as I trusted that the front of house staff was well trained in the case of an emergency. I think that the programmes priced at £2.50 were reasonable and this encouraged me to buy a one.
